HISTORY

The center is an offshoot of the "Padangat Foundation, Inc." A team of doctors, paramedics, teachers and parents providing special services to special children.

It was established in 1990 with the intention of sowing the seed of special education in the community where the children with special needs live. During this time, the educational provision for development disabilities was wanting in Naga City, a city with a population of 127,000, of which an estimated number of 12,000 people have disabilities.

Armed with the conviction that educating the children with disabilities is within the reach of innovative, resourceful, dedicated teachers and parents, the first group of parents proceeded to establish their own version of special education
